Microsoft is rolling out its Gaming Copilot, a new AI assistant for gamers, to all Windows 11 users globally except in mainland China. The tool offers support during gameplay, allowing users to ask for tips without stepping far outside the actual gaming experience.
Microsoft says PC players will begin seeing Gaming Copilot integrated into the Game Bar over the next few weeks as part of a gradual release. The company plans to bring Gaming Copilot to the Xbox mobile app on Apple and Android next month, so players can access the assistant through a second screen without disrupting gameplay.

Gaming Copilot has a voice mode that lets users interact with the AI using spoken commands instead of keyboard shortcuts. The assistant is set to help answer in-game questions using screenshots, such as offering tips for defeating a boss. Gamers can also use Gaming Copilot to pull game recommendations, review recent Xbox achievements, and more.
Microsoft says it plans to optimize Gaming Copilot for its upcoming Xbox Ally handheld devices and bring the assistant to Xbox consoles in the near future. Looking ahead, the company says it’s likely that Gaming Copilot will morph into a full AI gaming coach.
