Can’t seem to find how to turn on Github Copilot Edits in Visual Studio 2022

I’m:

  • on Visual Studio 2022 v17.12.4 (latest as of Feb 7th, updated half a day after Copilot Edits GA announcement)
  • on the free Copilot plan
  • in France (shouldn’t matter – mentionned in case EU legislation struck again)

And I don’t have the buttons related to Copilot Edits. Neither can I paste images or attach files in the Copilot chat, nor can it search the web, despite the option to allow it to ‘search the web with Bing’ being on in the Copilot options on Github. It would seem my Copilot is stuck months in the past.

There is no option in the Visual Studio Installer to turn on extra Copilot features, as far as I can tell, there’s just one box for Copilot, which I have checked. There’s no option in the preview features to turn on Copilot Edits:

Would anyone happen to know why that is, i.e what causes Copilot Edits to not be available on my setup ? I have not seen any indication it’s limited to Pro, banned in the EU, etc., and it’s expected to be available in VS2022 since yesterday.

Thanks.
