Transform the winding maze lines in this cute September coloring maze into an artistic fine-motor exercise and use as a September quiet time activity.
Instead of simply solving the maze with a single grey pencil line, have them color-code their movements. Follow these simple rules to build hand-eye coordination:
- Use one bright color for all left turns
- Switch to a second contrasting color for every right turn
Once they reach the bottom, have them color the rest of the hand-drawn characters.
September Homeschool Printable: Real Cinnamon Scratch and Sniff Finish

September Classroom Activity: Blindfold Partner Steering Challenge
Sit side by side for a hilarious teamwork game that gets everyone giggling together with this September morning work printable.
Have your students pair up and close their eyes while placing their pencil tip right on the cozy fox. Another student can act as their sweet voice navigator to guide their hand through the winding trails:
- Call out soft steering directions like “slow curve left” or “gentle slide down.”
- See if they can steer them all the way through without their pencil bumping the walls. Then trade seats so they can practice steering each other with their own directions.
This would also work as a September early finisher activity for those done with their work early.
