The premiere of FAUST, an open-air rock musical in Kiel, Germany, reached far beyond the main performance venue. In addition to the live audience, the production was delivered to six public viewing locations throughout the city.
To capture the performance, the production team used four Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ cameras, four AK-UC4000 broadcast camera systems, and two AW-RP150 PTZ controllers, along with aerial footage.
By combining remote-controlled PTZ cameras with traditional broadcast cameras, the production captured multiple perspectives of the performance and shared them with audiences beyond the theatre grounds. The project highlights how professional live production technology can help bring concerts, theatre, and other cultural events to larger audiences.
