GOG wracked by massive electoral fraud as Digimon World fans flood Dreamlist voting with fake ballots

The essential core of the democratic process is voting. A free, fair vote is not just essential, it is sacrosanct: Without it, everything else collapses like a house of cards. And that’s why it’s so disheartening to know that there are those among us who would prey upon our delicate democracy and twist it to serve their own selfish purposes. That’s right, I’m talking about Digimon fans.

Luckily, just as there are those eager to corrupt our democratic freedom, there are others who stand firmly in its defense—like, for instance, digital videogame storefront GOG.

Visual Studio Pro 2022 React TS & ASP.NET Core Template Not Working from Creation

I am currently just learning to create websites and thought to use the existing Visual Studio Pro 2022 template to get started. I decided to go with the React TS & ASP.NET Core template and yet from the get go I am having this issue:

npm error code ETARGET
npm error notarget No matching version found for @types/node@^23.7.0.
npm error notarget In most cases you or one of your dependencies are requesting
npm error notarget a package version that doesn't exist.

Error Screenshot here

I am surprise to be getting this issue at all as this is an error that creeps up right at the moment you create this app? Is this a visual studio bug or something to do with anything locally and how do I fix it?

I tried updating Node, and deleting the project entirely and creating it again from scratch to see if that would fix it but it did not.

There’s a new addition to the Alien universe and for the first time, it’s in the form of a TV series. Alien: Earth premieres Aug. 8, nearly a year to the day after Alien: Romulus, the latest film in the Alien franchise, hit theaters.

Created by Noah Hawley, the Emmy-winning creator of Fargo and Legion, Alien: Earth is set in 2120, two years before the events of the 1979 original Alien movie. And this time it doesn’t drag us to the deepest reaches of space — it brings extraterrestrial horror to our home planet.

Unlike many other film franchises, all of the Alien films currently live inside one streaming app — from the original to 2024’s Alien: Romulus. As of Aug. 8, that will also include the Alien: Earth series. It’s a modern-day streaming miracle, truly. Here are all the juicy details on how to watch the entire Alien franchise online (and in order).

How many Alien movies are there?

There are seven films in the classic Alien franchise, including the newest release, Alien: Romulus. Prior films include Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), Alien 3 (1992), Alien: Resurrection (1997), Prometheus (2012), and Alien: Covenant (2017). There are also two crossover films to add to your binge if you really want to complete the saga, although no one will blame you if you skip AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007). Then, of course, the new FX series Alien: Earth adds a new layer of lore into the mix.

How to watch the Alien films in order

Like any good franchise, the official release order of the films and new series differs from the actual narrative. The order you watch them is completely up to you. If you want to simply watch the whole franchise in release order, it would go like this:

  • Alien (1979)

  • Aliens (1986)

  • Alien 3 (1992)

  • Alien Resurrection (1997)

  • AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)

  • Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)

  • Prometheus (2012)

  • Alien: Covenant (2017)

  • Alien: Romulus (2024)

  • Alien: Earth (2025)

If you’re more into the timeline jumps and lore of it all, you’ll probably want to watch in chronological order. Though it’s the newest film in the franchise, Romulus takes place somewhere in the 57-year gap between Alien and Aliens. And the new series is basically a prequel to the original Alien, set two years before. So story-wise, your marathon would go something like this:

Mashable Top Stories

How to watch the entire Alien franchise online

Thanks to Hulu, you can watch every single Alien movie in one place — including the latest film Alien: Romulus, which made its streaming debut last fall. And while Alien: Earth is an FX series, it will stream simultaneously on Hulu — the official streaming home of FX.

It’s becoming rare for an entire franchise to live on a single streamer, so you should definitely take advantage of your chance to enjoy an Alien marathon. Hulu subscriptions start at just $9.99 per month. Plus, there are plenty of ways to save on a subscription. We’ve rounded up all the best Hulu streaming deals below.

Is there a Hulu free trial?

New to Hulu or returning after a while? You can kick off your streaming with a free 30-day trial. That’s the most generous of any streamer. Just remember that if you want to avoid charges, you’ll have to cancel your subscription before the 30 days are up. If you choose to keep it going, it’ll cost you $9.99 per month with ads or $18.99 without.

The best Hulu streaming deals

Best Hulu deal for most people: Hulu annual subscription

If you just want to save some money after your trial ends, you can sign up for an annual Hulu subscription instead of monthly and save about 16%. Hulu with ads now costs $9.99 per month, but if you pay annually, that monthly fee drops down to just $8.33 per month. Sure, you’ll have to pay more upfront, but in the long run, it’ll save you about $19.89 total.

Best bundle deal: Get Hulu and Disney+ for 45% off

Want more bang for your buck? You can bundle Hulu with Disney+ (with ads) for just $10.99 per month. That’s just $1 more per month and about 45% in savings for access to another entire streaming library. Even better, if you’re a sports fan, you can add ESPN+ into the mix for just $16.99 per month and save 47% on all three streaming services.

Best for students: Hulu Student

As long as you’re a college student, you can sign up for Hulu for just $1.99 per month instead of the usual $9.99 per month. That’s 80% in savings for the ad-supported plan. You’ll just have to verify your student status using SheerID in order to secure the deal.

Best for T-Mobile users: Hulu (with ads)

T-Mobile customers on the Go5G Next or any Experience Beyond plans now get Hulu with ads included with their plan for no extra cost. And that’s on top of the already stacked streaming lineup of Netflix and Apple TV+. Just head over to the T-Mobile promo page and click on “redeem now” to claim your offer if you haven’t already. You’ll just have to enter your T-Mobile number and account details in order to sign up.

Note: After your initial 12-month promotional period, you’ll have to take action to keep your subscription alive.

Pet-Friendly Floor Plans for Homes When You Hire Architectural Design Companies

Designing the perfect home for both humans and your furry children doesn’t mean sacrificing sophistication and aesthetics, but it means thinking smart, planning ahead, and most importantly, hiring the right architectural design company to bring your fur-filled vision to life.

The leading platform Cad Crowd, houses over 94,000 3D design experts and 3D professionals ready to help you design that furr-ever home. The wish list for the ultimate home includes amenities such as in-unit dog baths, cat highways, and “woof-worthy” spaces that make tails wag and whiskers twitch.

So, let’s “paws” for a moment and dig into how architectural design companies can craft floor plans that are as fabulous as they are for you.

Why your pet is entitled to a voice in the floor plan

Pets are family, and we wouldn’t design a home that ignores your own comfort. That’s why you shouldn’t ignore your furry roommate either. Dogs, cats, birds, and even rabbits all have their own specific requirements when it comes to space, surfaces, noise, and flow.

Picture your German Shepherd struggling to make its way down a cramped hallway every time the doorbell rings, or your nervous rescue cat having absolutely nowhere to hide when visitors arrive. Not exactly ideal, right?

That’s where an architectural design firm with pet-friendly design experience comes in. They understand how to take those pain points and turn them into considerate perks—from bespoke feeding stations to paw-friendly walkways.

Mudrooms: The MVP of pet entryways

If your canine has ever trundled inside after a wet walk and straight onto the sofa, you need no explanation about why the mudroom is the best friend. Dog-friendly mudrooms are half-garage and half-grooming salon with all the amenities and sanitation of a beauty parlor. Design strategies builders employ for dog-centered mudrooms include:

  • Pet-sized doors: A mini door within a door, or even an independent flap, so your pup or kitty can enter and exit without bringing in dirt to the rest of the house.
  • Pet showers or utility sinks: – Raised tubs with handheld sprayers—your back and your dog will appreciate it.
  • Accessories storage cubbies: – Leash, treat, and poop bag

When you hire a CAD design firm, they will usually recommend putting the mudroom next to the laundry space, so the messes can be addressed right away. And yes, they can even provide heated floors so paws remain warm after a winter walk.

Open concepts that keep eyes on the fur babies

Open-plan living is the default for contemporary residences, and it is fantastic in homes with pets. Why is that? Because it allows you to monitor your naughty golden retriever as he prowls around the kitchen countertop, or watch your parrot as it flaps against its playstand.

Architects can assist you in partitioning zones into the open plan through clever transitions such as

  • Flooring for pets – Consider slip-resistant flooring, bamboo, or luxury vinyl that can handle claws.
  • Room dividers or half-walls – These will close off spaces but not completely, ideal for training or quiet hours.
  • Dedicated gates that fit your style – Modern pet barriers, just like baby gates, can be decorative, sliding, or even discreet.

Bonus points if your architectural design expert incorporates cat perches or climbing walls into open-plan living spaces. It’s like an amusement park without the long lines.

The kitchen: Where human snacks live

The kitchen serves as the heart of every home, where families gather, meals are prepared, and (from your dog’s perspective) all the best snacks are stored. However, without proper planning, having pets in the kitchen can create chaos, safety hazards, and daily frustrations.

Smart kitchen solutions for pet owners

Professional pet-friendly design firms recommend these practical features:

  • Pull-out feeding stations: Hidden drawers that slide out at mealtime and disappear when not in use, eliminating trip hazards from floor bowls and creating a cleaner aesthetic.
  • Built-in pet retreat spaces: Cozy alcoves beneath kitchen islands or in corner nooks where dogs can rest comfortably while staying close to family activity.
  • Integrated treat and supply storage: Custom cabinetry with airtight compartments keeps pet food fresh, treats organized, and everything easily accessible yet out of sight.

Some architects go beyond basic functionality by designing dedicated pet pantries—walk-in storage spaces specifically for pet supplies, food, toys, and grooming essentials. This isn’t excessive; it’s thoughtful luxury that keeps your main kitchen clutter-free while ensuring everything your pet needs has its proper place. You may also look into pet product design services that may create functional items for your pets in the kitchen.

These design elements transform potential kitchen chaos into organized harmony, making daily routines smoother for both pets and their families.

Smart flow: Paths for pets and people

Ever seen a cat run across the living room like it’s trying out for a car commercial? Or a dog weaves around the couch like it’s practicing for a NASCAR race?

That’s why flow is important.

Architectural design firms can analyze the traffic pattern of your home and suggest layouts that will benefit both species. This involves:

  • Reducing sharp corners: Animals get excited. Excited animals slide. Rounded corners minimize accidents.
  • Placement of doorways: Having multiple entrances and exits can minimize bottlenecks during the morning rush, when it’s time for walkies.
  • Ease of access from outside: Key patio or dog run doors promote easier encouragement to exercise and a breath of fresh air for pets.

Interior design experts can even suggest hallways with enough width to fit the largest dog at rest across it like a speed bump. A small detail but big impact.

Built-in comfort zones for cats & dogs

Architectural design is not simply about building—it’s about experience. And if you’d like your pet to be secure and safe, you’ll require more than a local store dog bed. You’ll need nooks, crannies, and quiet areas that are specifically for them.

This is how designers accomplish it:

  • Under-stair dens: What’s normally a dead space becomes a doggy hideaway.
  • Window perches with views: Allow your cat to overlook the neighborhood like the appointed mayor they are.
  • Built-in crates or kennels: Installed within cabinetry or furniture to create a continuous look that does not yell “puppy jail.”

Design professionals tend to work with you in selecting spots dependent on your pet’s personality, as a social butterfly or peace-and-quiet purist.

Outdoor pet utopias (with indoor convenience)

Regardless of how amazing the interiors are, your pet will still require the great outdoors. Fortunately, architectural design and drafting companies can make it a seamless experience for both the pet and the human.

Some paws-itively wonderful features they suggest:

  • Professional dog runs with synthetic turf: Custom-designed exercise areas featuring built-in drainage systems that eliminate muddy paws, protect your natural lawn, and provide a dedicated space for pets to play and exercise year-round.
  • Modern security fencing: Stylish, durable barrier systems that blend seamlessly with your home’s architecture while keeping pets safely contained and protecting your landscaping investment.
  • Catios (cat patios): Enclosed outdoor spaces specifically designed for cats, featuring screened walls and roofing that allow fresh air and sunlight while protecting indoor cats from predators, traffic, and other outdoor dangers.

Designers can even install smart pet doors that connect to microchips or collars. It’s the kind of Star Trek-level tech your pet doesn’t know they need—but you’ll love.

Allergen-friendly materials & clean design

Living with pets naturally means dealing with dander, fur, and occasional accidents. However, smart architectural planning and material choices can significantly reduce allergens while maintaining a fresh, welcoming home environment.

Smart material choices for pet owners

Pet-savvy architectural home design firms recommend these practical solutions:

  • Non-porous flooring options: Hardwood, tile, and luxury vinyl plank are easy to clean, stain-resistant, and don’t trap odors or allergens like carpet.
  • Easy-maintenance surfaces: Smooth baseboards and washable wall finishes make it simple to remove pet hair and clean up unexpected messes.
  • Enhanced ventilation systems: Strategic placement of additional vents, exhaust fans, or built-in air purification systems keeps indoor air fresh and reduces allergens.

Storage for the craziness (and the adorableness)

Your furbabies come with stuff. Leashes. Toys. Blankets. Litter boxes. Scratching posts. That squeaky alligator your dog loves a little too much.

Rather than letting it all collect in a clump in a corner, designers can integrate storage into the home’s structure. Consider:

  • Disguised cabinets for grooming supplies
  • Slide-in litter box drawers in bathrooms or laundry rooms
  • Pet-height wall hooks
  • Tailor-made cubbies at entrances and exits

Good design preempts clutter and provides it a discreet, purpose-built home. Your visitors might not even notice a pet lives there—until they’re greeted by your friendly, wagging welcome committee.

Don’t forget the finishing touches

Even the most exemplary architectural floor plan service welcomes thoughtful finishing flourishes. A few additional ideas to add:

  • Noise control: Acoustic paneling and sound-absorbing materials may calm pets that get nervous at thunderstorms or loud noises.
  • Lighting: Motion-sensor lights for nighttime potty breaks are a godsend.
  • Color choices: Muted, earthy palettes don’t just hide fur—they create a calming environment for easily overstimulated pets.

And yes, some homeowners even request pet portrait walls or pet-shaped windows (think paw or bone cutouts). With the right design partner, anything’s possible.

New Borderlands 4 trailer is a funny critique of capitalism, and Randy Pitchford says if we “share and retweet” we could get more: “Those numbers directly impact the decisions made in the suit meetings and conference rooms”

Borderlands 4 has had its fair share of marketing mishaps, from Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford saying “real fans” would find a way to pay $80 for it to a collector’s edition that isn’t a collector’s edition and doesn’t even contain the game. But a new trailer is already at over 100,000 views on YouTube, and Pitchford says we need to get sharing it if we want to see more like it.

The trailer is actually a narrative short film that introduces the backstory of Rafa, a new Vault Hunter. Raised in an asteroid belt, he can’t handle planetary gravity without the aid of an exosuit developed by the Tediore corporation.

13 Best Vibrators of 2025, Tested and Reviewed

Vibrators are some of the most approachable sex toys on the market, but there are so many types of vibrators that it can make even a long-term vibrator owner go a bit mad. From bullet vibrators and the iconic rabbit vibrator to all those funny shaped but deliciously potent vibrators in between, shopping for one can get overwhelming. Luckily, I have a few tips and tricks to help you narrow things down.

First, look at the materials. For vibrators, you want them to be made with 100 percent platinum-cured silicone and/or ABS plastic. Hard glossy plastic is OK for parts that don’t touch your genitals, but platinum silicone is nonporous, easy to clean, and body-safe. Unlike lesser grades of silicone, platinum silicone doesn’t give off any weird smells or compounds that may be unpleasant or even harmful to your genitals. That’s because it’s chemically different from other kinds of silicone. Surgical steel (also called 316 stainless steel), and borosilicate glass are just as body-safe, durable, and nonporous but less common in vibrators and more common in dildos.

Second, look at the charger the vibrator comes with. Is it USB-A, USB-C, or a proprietary AC adapter? I try to keep things simple and stick with vibrators that are USB rechargeable either with USB-A or USB-C. It’s way too easy to lose the charger, and there’s comfort in knowing you can use any charging cable you have lying around. There’s nothing worse than a toy that dies on you mid-use.

Thirdly, when you get your new vibrator, test its vibration strength on the tip of your nose first. You should feel it tickling your nostrils and sinuses, giving you an idea of how deep into your genital tissue it can stimulate. Remember, about 90 percent of the clitoris can’t be stimulated directly because it’s under the skin, so deep vibes are important. The same goes for the phallus—the erectile tissue goes deep into your body, and stimulating it with a vibrator can provide a new and exhilarating experience.

Lastly, consider price—especially if you’re on a budget. Some vibrators can be really expensive based on the features they offer. For example, long-distance devices and suction toys can cost a couple hundred dollars. While a high-quality, body-safe vibrator shouldn’t be cheap, you also want to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth. Make sure to read the specs so you know you’re making a financially wise decision. If a vibrator only has a battery life of one hour, but it’s going to set you back $200, keep looking.

PC’s sky-high growth has carried Japan’s games market on its back for 7 years, but the forecast is it’s set to slow down

‘PC gamers: hobbyists or heroes?’ is not the title of a new report from data firm Newzoo on the Japanese gaming market in 2025, but it probably should be. Turns out, our humble platform has been singlehandedly keeping the rate of profit propped up in the country while consoles have lagged for a good while now. But darker times beckon: the experts predict it’s set to slow down in the years to come.

In Japanese yen, 2024 was a year of eye-popping growth for the humble personal computer. It made up ¥240 billion of the overall gaming market’s ¥2,483 billion value that year, a year-on-year increase of 16.2% on 2023. Which is nuts. That’s a lot of growth.

Is your iPhone compatible? Here’s a list which devices can download it today

All the new features iOS 26 has to offer.

iPhone devotees, listen up: Tons of new updates are coming to Apple’s operating system this fall that you’ll be excited to try out. But instead of being named iOS 19, it’ll be called iOS 26. The biggest change? The new Liquid Glass design (think Windows Vista, but arguably more thoughtful), which looks to be Apple’s largest visual update in years. We spent two weeks test-driving it — you can check out our detailed hands-on iOS 26 preview, or you can try it out yourself by downloading and installing the public beta, available now. Before you dive in, we’ll help you answer this question: Will my iPhone be able to run iOS 26?

Last year, Apple didn’t nix any iPhones from its eligibility list, but that’s not the case for 2025 — a few models are getting cut this time. All iPhone 8 models and the iPhone X were the last to get the boot in 2023, and this year the 2018 models are getting left behind. If you have an ineligible device, you won’t be able to download iOS 26 when it becomes available this fall.

We’ll get to the bottom of which iPhones will support iOS 26 this year. To see what’s coming with the latest OS and more, check out everything announced at Apple’s WWDC June 9 event.

Unlike last year, several iPhone models won’t be eligible to download the newest iOS when it makes its debut this fall. This trio of models first released in 2018 won’t be coming to the iOS 26 party:

  • iPhone XR

  • iPhone XS

  • iPhone XS Max

While we don’t yet know the new iPhones Apple will be dropping this fall — though there are iPhone 17 rumors — we do know, per Apple’s site, that the phones listed below will be compatible with iOS 26. Basically, if you have an iPhone that was announced in 2019 or later, you’re in the clear:

If you want to continue using your older iPhone that isn’t supported by iOS 26, that’s fine. However, you’ll miss out on security updates which could potentially put your phone at risk for malware and other threats. Additionally, some apps may stop working if they require a certain version of iOS or later. And of course, you won’t be able to access the latest features iOS 26 offers.

Apple usually rolls out its latest iOS in mid-September, just a few days before the new iPhones hit store shelves. Last year, it released iOS 18 on Monday, Sept. 16. Expect a confirmation of the release date at the iPhone 17 event, expected in early September.

Liquid Glass design: Your home screen is getting revamped with new app icons, including dark mode and all-clear options. You’ll also notice buttons with a new floating design. Liquid Glass was designed to make all of Apple’s OSes more cohesive.

Phone app redesign: You’ll finally be able to scroll through contacts, recent calls and voicemail messages all on one screen. It also comes with a new feature called Hold Assist that’ll notify you when an agent comes to the phone so you can avoid the elevator music.

Live Translate: iOS 26 is bringing the ability to have a conversation via phone call or text message with someone who speaks another language. Live Translate will translate your conversation in real time.

Polls feature: Coming to group messages in the Messages app, chat members will be able to create polls. This can help prevent the unwanted 30+ messages when it comes to deciding which restaurant you’re meeting at this weekend.
