Control Resonant PC Requirements Are More Reserved Than You Might Expect

Ahead of its release in September, Remedy Entertainment has revealed the recommended PC specifications for Control Resonant, and they aren’t as demanding as you might think.

Hot on the heels of the game’s latest trailer during Sony’s State of Play, Remedy shared the minimum and recommended hardware configurations you’ll need for Control Resonant later this year, with GPUs and CPUs from several generations past being the most demanding aspects. On the recommended front, Resonant will require either an RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, which released all the way back in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

They’re also severely limited cards when it comes to memory by modern standards. The RTX 3070 specifically features only 8GB of VRAM, which has been too little for many recent releases. That bodes well if you’re still clinging onto older hardware in light of the ongoing AI-driven memory crisis, which has made everything with fast memory more expensive to purchase.

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 10/ 11 (64-bit required)
  • Processor: Intel corei5-8500 or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1070 / Radeon RX 5600 XT
  • Storage: 100GB SSD
  • OS: Windows 10/ 11 (64-bit required)
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce RTX 3070 / Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • Storage: 100GB SSD

The caveat here is that while Remedy Entertainment seems to be catering to players with aging systems, there’s no indication yet what type of performance you can expect with these configurations. The studio says that information will come closer to launch, presumably with breakdowns indicating what hardware you’ll need to run the sequel at higher resolutions with more graphically demanding settings like ray tracing, which the first Control was renowned for.

Control Resonant is launching on September 24, and there’s a slew of other massive games occupying the same month such as Marvel’s Wolverine, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Silent Hill: Townfall, and more.

Dozens of Red Hat packages backdoored through its official NPM channel

The worm, dubbed Shai-Hulud, has all the hallmarks of malware released last month as freely available open source. TeamPCP was the first group to use Shai-Hulud, and it promoted a competition that promised a $1,000 payment to the hacker who carried out the biggest supply-chain attack using the malware. TeamPCP has also been behind a rash of previous supply-chain attacks. Now that the worm is in the hands of many other threat groups, supply-chain attacks may ramp up further.

The malware devotes considerable attention to CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) systems, which allow for faster and more reliable software releases by automating the building, testing, and deploying of code changes. The malware spread in Monday’s attack was published through GitHub Actions OIDC (OpenID Connect), indicating that Red Hat’s CI/CD pipeline was compromised. OIDC is a security measure designed to interact with cloud services through the use of temporary credentials.

Once installed, the malware targets other organizations’ CI/CD credentials. The compromise of Red Hat’s GitHub Actions OIDC was very possibly the result of a previous supply-chain attack that infected an employee’s machine.

In an email sent after this post went live, Red Hat said it has removed the malicious packages.

“The packages are strictly limited to internal development, and the malicious code was never published for customer consumption via the console.redhat.com system,” the email said. “While our investigation is ongoing, we have not identified any impact to customer or partner environments or Red Hat production systems.”

Given the success of other recent supply-chain attacks, anyone who touched one of the affected packages in the past 36 hours should assume compromise of their workstations, CI/CD pipelines, and all credentials for cloud services and repositories. That means employees should drop whatever they’re doing at the moment and investigate thoroughly.

In a recent supply-chain attack that hit Checkmarx, the security firm failed to fully drive out the party responsible. Checkmarx was then hit two more times. The Checkmarx credentials used in the first attack came from a supply chain attack on the Trivy software developer. The pivot to Checkmarx and its failure to fully remediate the initial breach demonstrates the difficulty of completely recovering from such security lapses and the risks that result.

Both Socket and Aikido have lists of affected Red Hat packages and other indicators of compromise that any potentially affected person or organization should make use of promptly.

Story updated to add Red Hat comment.

Squishmallows, dentures, and an ‘I Heart Hot Dads’ bag: Uber has found thousands of items left in robotaxis

For the past 10 years, Uber’s annual Lost & Found Index has provided a rather quirky anthropological snapshot of its riders — and even a few insights into society. The annual catalogue of millions of forgotten items ranges from mundane modern-day tools such as smartphones and laptops, to more eyebrow-raising objects like live fish, an ankle monitor, a toboggan, a package of live butterflies, and a single Louboutin shoe.

This year, Uber is using the report to highlight the same old problem of lost items with a new twist: robotaxis. Thousands of items (it’s a bit too new for millions) were left behind in robotaxis on Uber’s ride-hailing network in the past year, the company said Tuesday. There were the usual suspects of phones, keys, wallets, passports, and headphones, along with a few items that strayed into the who-is-this-rider category: a set of dentures, an “I Heart Hot Dads” bag, and a blue hat that reads “Emotional Support Human.”

Beyond this entertaining list lies a business opportunity, if a minor one. Even in a future of robot taxis, someone still has to return the things passengers leave behind.

Uber has spent the past several years locking up dozens of partnerships with autonomous vehicle (AV) technology companies. But it really wasn’t until March 2025, when the “Waymo on Uber” robotaxi service launched in Austin, that the commercial wheels on its AV business started turning. Since then, Uber and Waymo have also started a robotaxi service in Atlanta. Uber has added other AV companies to its app in the past year, including Motional in Las Vegas and Avride in Dallas, although these still have human safety operators behind the wheel.

That Uber has already logged thousands of lost items in just 12 months gives some sense of just how many robotaxi rides have been completed on its app. The underlying message here is that Uber’s existing network is already set up to reunite riders with their lost items, including a 15-pound yo-yo, one large black marble duck, a Squishmallow, and a Charli XCX poster.

When an Uber rider forgets belongings in a robotaxi, the process for recovering them is similar to any other Uber ride: open the app, click the activity tab, select the trip during which the item was lost, and contact customer support. Riders are then able to message, chat, or call a support agent. If the item is located, they have two options: pay $15 for an Uber Courier driver to provide same-day local delivery, or pick up the belonging in person from an AV depot, where the vehicles are stored and serviced.

Uber Courier is a rebrand of Uber Connect, which launched in 2020 and allowed users to send packages and personal items between local addresses. But Uber says there is more to its robotaxi support network than repurposing existing services.

“With tens of millions of lost items reported on Uber each year, we’ve spent the last decade building systems that help riders quickly and seamlessly reunite with their belongings,” Amy Satrom, global head of autonomous support at Uber, said in a statement. “As autonomous rides continue to scale on Uber, we’re bringing that same expertise to AVs — combining our fleet operations, support teams, and hybrid network to make getting a lost item back simple, even when there’s no driver behind the wheel.”

In February, the company announced Uber Autonomous Solutions, a new business division that conveys its bigger ambitions around driverless tech. The division provides companies with a suite of services that handle all the tasks associated with operating a robotaxi, self-driving truck, or sidewalk delivery robot business, including software and support services.

And Uber clearly means to make AVs a major revenue driver. The company plans to offer robotaxi rides through its app in as many as 15 cities globally by the end of the year and has said it intends to be the largest facilitator of AV trips in the world by 2029.

The 8 Reasons Why 3D Interior Animation is Better than Renderings with Design Firms

So, why is 3D interior animation a better choice than renderings? It is undeniable that our technology is advancing rapidly, and we are introduced to a variety of interactive methods, especially in the field of design. Before any design advancements, we were presented with still pictures and static images, and of course, it was really helpful back then. However, through the unstoppable developments of technology, we are getting more engaged in a design that speaks to us and gives us the freedom to explore spaces through animation that allows us to move swiftly into different perspectives of a specific design.

Through 3D architectural animation designers, clients get to understand more easily what the designers are trying to communicate since they could be able to walk through the designs and see for themselves how the different elements work together. And a lot of design companies really work collaboratively with expert professionals through different platforms, such as Cad Crowd, to bring their ideas and produce an outcome that really exceeds their expectations in terms of creating high-quality, realistic 3D animations.

1. Better visualization

The main essence of 3D interior animation is that it allows clients to have a clearer outlook on the concept and idea of the designer. It gives this literal thought of how a space would look after the entire process of construction, giving them the chance to not just visualize, but experience every space and get to explore it. Although the traditional static rendering has been a great help for a lot of years, it has built different beautiful and outstanding buildings, but it is limited to what a client can see and imagine.

RELATED: Condominium Rendering: 10 Ways to Enhance Condo Architectural Presentations for Builders

Through animation, you get to visualize more clearly every space and every design, and can spot potential issues early on, because you get to see what best fits into that specific area, and you can have a better alternative if it doesn’t look best in the kind of arrangement or placement. It is very helpful since, aside from providing a clear outlook of how everything would be, it also gives you the actual feeling of satisfaction since you finally get to visualize how everything would be, and gives you the right amount of purpose and the drive to keep going in doing what your vision has to look like.

That is why 3D animation services are such a smart invention since it transforms a static image into a more lively and convincing way of letting clients to get hooked as to how every idea is being created and gives them this kind of feeling of excitement even before starting the construction time. And what’s more amazing about this is that they get to see for themselves how every piece of furniture is placed into specific areas and how it affects the entire space.

They get to have a first-hand experience of the placements and the patterns of every detail that has been put inside a specific space. Throughout this experience, designers are able to present a more realistic output that delivers a clear and concise explanation so that clients can accurately envision how the final space would feel, making it easier to picture how the finishing of a certain interior would literally look.

2. More realistic experience

When we compare static renderings to 3D animation, it is understandable that most would choose the latter, especially since today, people are more engaged with a video-type marketing style. And in the area of 3D design firms, what clients would want to see is what an actual look would be. So, considering 3D animation would really be of great help since it doesn’t just provide the clients with still images, but with moving viewpoints that could allow them to have a realistic experience and feel like stepping into the real and actual space, even though it hasn’t been created yet.

What’s more amazing about this invention is that it doesn’t limit you to what you could visualize, since it presents every detail, every placement, and every positioning of the potential things that could be put inside that specific design. Clients can see to it how different elements affect each other and how it brings life to the specific room, just like they could have a better experience in the lighting, the textures, and the materials, and they get to acknowledge different perspectives shown in the specific room.

So through these, clients can be more engaged in the overall presentation, since they get to gain a deeper understanding as to how that design is being created from their own perspective by just seeing into multiple angles of the interior design. In reality, clients get hooked more when they get the picture out already by just taking a look at the design of what the outcome would be after the construction. So really, in 3D animation, they get to walk through it and feel like they are already walking into the final output. In this animated movement, clients can able to see the interior’s magic and notice different viewpoints from different angles. Imagine just looking at one static image when you wanted to build a specific room or area.

How can you have a better visualization if you are only looking at one single picture or image of your ideas, right? Isn’t it more complicated for you to picture what you would want to have after the construction? It gives you unrealistic viewpoints and only limits your concepts to a single static image. That is why it is important to note that 3D animation provides you with the experience, not just a design. It gives you a proper engagement, not just a single outlook of what your ideas could be.

3. Improve communication: designers and clients

In any project design, clear communication between a client and the 3D designer is very important because it is where you get to exchange ideas and inputs as to how you are going to bring the client’s ideas to life. And as designers, it is such a challenge to put together all the important details and the design features to successfully create an output that could meet the client’s expectations. During the explanation or presentation of the output, it is a challenge as well if the clients misunderstand how the layout is designed.

And if there are misunderstandings during the presentation process, then a lot would really be affected and can possibly result in long delays and a lot more expensive materials later on as the process goes on. However, in 3D animation, these potential misunderstandings would clearly be diminished since, through it, the presentation would be clear and concise, which would gradually help clients to understand every little detail of it. It’s a big help, especially in improving the communication between each other, and since 3D animation designers get to provide clients with a thorough visualization and can provide an illustration that isn’t static and stagnant, but rather keeps engagement in every viewpoint of the angle.

And through it, clients can have a better understanding of the design’s purpose as it communicates clearly why it’s built that way and how it will be brought to life after the construction process. This is really a very smart way of presenting one’s design since it wouldn’t lead to confusion and can mitigate any changes later on. Because if a client doesn’t fully understand the design details, then it would most likely be a conflict later on, since both ends wouldn’t meet halfway on how a single project would want to come out.

RELATED: Applications of 3D Rigging Services within the Animation, Film, and Gaming Industries

Clear communication doesn’t just save time, but also saves project costs. If things are clearly presented during the early stages of designing, then issues and problems wouldn’t be possible in the long run. Effective communication between designers and clients is something that will literally help in the creation of a specific design, since if both work collaboratively, then they would come out with a smoother flow of the design process. It is important to consider each other’s views and be open to any suggestions, since everything is just a matter of openness in order for things to be successfully created, and that it wouldn’t leave anyone confused, but rather satisfy all throughout the development of ideas.

4. Better marketing and project promotion

Presentation of design projects is undeniably important in fields such as architectural design firms. It is something they needed to work on best since it’s the very first thing they could present to the clients and what would leave such an impression on them. It’s a very important part in showcasing what the ideas would look like when put together as one, and how they would possibly look right after the construction process. That is why visual representation clearly plays a crucial role in every design project presentation.

Although 3D architectural rendering services have been used to build so many buildings, houses, and offices in the past years or even now, they don’t clearly give you the realistic amount of presentation, but they don’t disregard the fact that it still illustratively provides the kind of concept they try to convey. However, animated visualizations create a greater engagement and hook the client’s interest way better in today’s modern world. That is why visual communication is really helpful, as it helps clients to step into the whole concept right before it gets into the construction part of the process.

5. Highlights creativity and technicality

3D animations provide a clearer format that can be quickly shown through different digital platforms and presented professionally to different clients in different areas of the industry. And through this approach, design firms can able to freely visualize their creative visions and present them in a more lively way, and in this smart approach, they don’t just highlight their creativity, but also showcase their technicality, since they are integrating the power of technology into their design that could best engage a wider audience in a more dynamic way. In fact, it is such a smart approach to integrate smart inventions into our creativity, especially nowadays.

A lot of clients are more impressed with 3D architectural modeling firms that openly apply their technical skills to their creativity because they can see the top-notch capabilities and innovative side of these experts. And with the help of these animated visuals, clients are usually hooked into it since the amount of creativity they put into it is really something to be applauded. And one thing about integrating this 3D animation into any visual presentations is that design firms can also effectively promote specific projects to the wide pool of potential clients and investors, since in this way, they could present a cleaner, engaging, and realistic presentation. It allows them to lay out a presentation that keeps the interest of the viewers intact and captures their attention in a more appealing manner.

6. Competitive advantage for design firms

In today’s modernized world, it is very important to keep up with the advancement of technology. And design firms that adapt to modern tools greatly stay on top amidst the competitive industry. It is known that design firms present designs to the clients and hope to get their designs successfully loved by the potential clients. However, in order to do so, they needed to put so much effort into the presentations that they present. By using 3D animation, these companies are able to stand out among those that still use traditional renderings in the design field. Through animated designs, projects are more likely to give off a power to impress people with their innovative look.

RELATED: How to Use 3D Architectural Design as Visual Storytelling

Through it, 3D architectural animation designers can able to lay out their designs in a creative manner as well and provide clients a clearer and understandable outlook as to how things would possibly look right after the process of construction. Aside from it, a project that’s made with 3D animation looks more confident and has a strong sense of professionalism in any way, since it gathers together all the concept designs and put it effectively in one animation that surely captures anyone’s attention, securing a high chance of project approvals in the long run.

3D architectural rendering services

That is why companies that integrate 3D animations into their project presentations are most likely the ones that have gained investors and a lot of clients since they deliver creativity mixed with the power of technicality, all in one project design. It doesn’t look like the resources are being limited since they expanded their creativity horizon and applied the modernity tools that could best make it something that would stand out once they laid it out to the potential clients. What’s also amazing with this kind of approach is that it guarantees client and designer satisfaction.

It has a beneficial contribution to both ends, since on the part of the designer, they could be freer to present their ideas in a way that could visualize every angle and area of the viewpoints they would like to convey, the stories they want to tell, and the communication they want to convey to the clients. On the client’s side, it’s more freeing for them to explore the intricate details of a specific design. Since it is animated, it would be a lot easier for them to walk through it and discover the story it tries to tell, the explanation it tries to extend. That is why it is a very effective and smart choice for any design firm that aims to provide a presentation that doesn’t just capture attention, but also guarantees approval from any client or investors.

7. Professional guidance

Every architectural drafting design firm wants to provide high-quality presentations to its clients. None of them wants to fail, especially when they aim to reach their expected project approvals in that specific timeline. And in order to produce quality presentations, especially 3D animations for clients, they needed to apply advanced skills in modernized animation software. However, in order to do this, they needed to be open to collaborating with expert professionals that has the right amount of expertise to totally perform and create the ideas.

These designers have in mind. Although it can be costly to hire professionals in this kind of service, it would be a lot more costly if a specific design is done with limitations and not considering professional help. Some common mistakes of architectural design and drafting firms is that limiting their design to a traditional way of designing. That is why during project presentation, they only have small chances of being approved since they fear the idea of change. They fear the idea of investing more into that specific design. They fear trying another kind of approach, expecting things wouldn’t turn out the way they expected them to be.

And that something companies must not inhibit because trying to do a new approach in order to successfully create a design that best fits the client’s interests is really important. They must allow their creativity to broaden, not just focus on one area of scope, since in the field of creative designing, technicality really plays an important role, as it gives more life and engagement to the ideas presented. It’s also important to note that when designing a specific interior, nothing beats a lively output since every interior design needs to be detailed and intricately showcase every angle and viewpoint of specific areas.

8. Professionally Stand Out

Companies that explore the advancement of the technology, especially considering 3D animation in designing interiors, which, of course, with the help of professionals, are guaranteed to deliver presentations that best suit clients’ interests, deliver outputs that hook clients, and give their full attention to it. There are a lot of platforms that provide businesses with professionals and connect them in order to have a smooth flow of transactions, especially those that focus on 3D architectural visualization services. And through the help of these experts, designers can able to successfully turn their ideas into more engaging and dynamic visuals that help clients to picture things clearly and have an experience that would greatly affect the entire project process.

In creating designs that aim to successfully shine in the market, it is really important to choose the best experts who will guide you and help you all throughout the process. One thing that best benefits companies when they hire professionals is that their designs would truly stand out in the market. Because with the help of these professionals, their ideas will come to life and potentially exceed their expectations. With the help of 3D animation, everything would look so lively and engaging, making it something that will stand out amongst other company designs.

Rayman Legends was a timeless 2D platformer with beautiful art, but I’ll grudgingly admit that its remake is an improvement

In my memory, Rayman Legends is a timeless classic. Released in 2013, it arrived at a moment when Ubisoft were becoming best known for po-faced games like Assassin’s Creed and innumerable Tom Clancy spinoffs, yet Rayman Legends was a gorgeous 2D platformer brimming over with silliness and slapstick that showed off the publisher’s creative talents and uniquely French humour.

So the news that Ubisoft is remaking it as Rayman Legends Retold, dropping its 2D art for 3D animation was not well received in the Benson household, I can tell you.

What’s Coming Next in Visual Studio: Our Microsoft Build 2026 Announcements

Microsoft Build kicks off today in San Francisco, June 2 and 3. If you cannot make it in person, the sessions are streaming online for free, and I want to walk you through what we are announcing for Visual Studio this week.

One idea tie most of it together. Code is an asset, not just an artifact. The tools around it should help you keep it healthy, correct, and easy to evolve as your codebase grows. Every announcement below is a step toward that.

Agents that participate in the work, not next to it

GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio is moving beyond chat and completions. The direction is agents that can participate more actively in the development lifecycle, helping with debugging, profiling, and testing alongside you.

This is not about replacing the tools you already rely on. It is about connecting them more effectively. The debugger, profiler, and test tools already provide deep insight. Agents help turn that insight into action:

  • Identify issues faster
  • Explain what is going on
  • Suggest concrete fixes
  • Help validate the results

This matters most if you work in large C# or C++ codebases where the hard problems are not “write this function” but “figure out why this thing is slow under load.” That is the work Visual Studio has always been built for. Agents extend it.

Catching errors before the build starts

This one is small and I think you will notice it daily.

Today, a build can still run even when there are obvious errors already sitting in the Error List. The build runs, you wait, the build fails on something you could have seen up front.

We are changing that flow so Visual Studio checks errors and warnings before the build starts. Simple change. Real time saved. The kind of thing that adds up across a week.

Merge conflicts with less manual work

Merge conflicts are something every developer runs into, and they are rarely a good use of anyone’s time.

We are working on AI-assisted conflict resolution to reduce the manual effort these situations require. The goal is not to auto-merge everything. The goal is to help you understand the conflict, make a sensible decision, and get back to the work you were actually doing.

Modernization that moves your apps forward

This summer, we are bringing new capabilities to GitHub Copilot modernization, the integrated agent experience built into Visual Studio that helps you upgrade your applications to the latest .NET stack.

You can migrate Web Forms applications to Blazor for a modern, component-based web stack. You can add Aspire to existing apps for cloud-ready observability and orchestration. The modernization agent assesses your project, builds a plan, and executes upgrades step by step, helping you improve performance and security without starting from scratch.

If you have been carrying a Web Forms app for years because the rewrite math never penciled out, this is worth a fresh look.

Skills that show up when you need them

One of the harder problems with AI tooling is that the right capability often exists, but it shows up at the wrong moment, or you have to know to ask for it.

We are introducing Microsoft-authored skills that apply automatically based on your project type and the task at hand. Less prompting. Less guesswork. A more helpful experience overall. The right capabilities show up when you need them, without requiring you to already know they exist.

Bring your own key, bring your own model

This is the one I have been waiting to talk about.

Historically, AI integration in Visual Studio has been limited to a small set of sanctioned endpoints. That works for a lot of developers, but it has left real customers behind, including teams whose environments call for different choices.

We are moving toward a BYOK approach, bring your own key or model, so you can use different AI models whether they run locally or in the cloud. That gives you more flexibility around performance, cost, and compliance based on the needs of your environment.

If you have been waiting for Visual Studio to meet your environment instead of asking your environment to bend, this is the announcement to watch.

Built on the GitHub Copilot SDK

Underneath all of this is a more unified foundation. Visual Studio is moving to the GitHub Copilot SDK as the foundation for its AI integration going forward.

This one sits below the surface. You will not see it in a menu. What it means in practice is that we can move faster, stay aligned with the broader ecosystem, and bring new capabilities into Visual Studio sooner. Worth knowing about, even though you will mostly feel it through everything else getting better.

Where this is heading

If there is one way to sum up this roadmap, it is this. We are focused on a set of meaningful improvements that remove friction from the inner loop and make day-to-day development feel better.

Code that compiles by default. Faster feedback before you build. Smarter handling of real-world pain points like merge conflicts. AI that works with your tools, not next to them. Flexibility in how you bring AI into your environment.

All of it is designed to fit how you already use Visual Studio, not force you into a different workflow.

Watch it live at Build this week

If you want to see this work in action, here are the sessions I would put on your schedule. All times in Pacific.

Microsoft Build opening keynote (KEY01) Tuesday, June 2, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM PT Satya Nadella and Microsoft leaders open the week with how Microsoft is creating new opportunities for developers across our platforms in this era of AI. This is the one that sets the frame for everything else.

GitHub, Copilot, VS Code, and More: Live from San Francisco (LIVE104) Wednesday, June 3, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM PT The closest thing Build has to a hallway conversation with the engineers shipping the work. Live demos, surprise guests, live coding, straight from the teams. Watch this one live if you can.

GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio: Agents That Debug, Profile, and Test (BRK207) Wednesday, June 3, 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM PT This is the demo-heavy session on the agents work above, with Mads Kristensen and Nik Karpinsky from the Visual Studio team. You will see agents root-cause bugs using live runtime behavior, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and build test coverage to catch regressions before they ship. If you work in enterprise C#, .NET, or C++, this is the one.

Make GitHub Copilot Work Your Way: Custom Tools, Context and Workflows (LAB502D) Self-paced lab, opens Tuesday, June 2, at 12:00 PM PT Build custom Copilot agents from scratch, create reusable Agent Skills, and connect to external services via MCP. Works across VS Code, Visual Studio, CLI, and Copilot coding agent. Complete it on your own schedule.

The full Build schedule, including everything streaming online for free, is at build.microsoft.com.

If something we announced today changes how you think about your day-to-day in Visual Studio, I want to hear about it.

Google’s got a quick Android 17 Beta 4.1 rolling out to address issues before launch

What you need to know

  • Google’s rolling out a Android 17 Beta 4.1, which focuses on solving issues regarding hearing aids and the status bar.
  • The patch notes drew attention to several other Android makers who have phones supported in the Android 17 beta, such as Honor, Xiaomi, and Vivo.
  • Google is moving fast, testing its software’s first major quarterly release alongside the main beta.

While the scheduled releases for Android 17’s beta have already rolled out, Google is bringing another iterative update to solve a few lingering issues.

Google posted the changelog for Android 17 Beta 4.1 on Reddit, which is rolling out for the Pixel 6 up to the Pixel 10 and the Pixel Tablet. Users should be aware that Beta 4.1 bears two firmware numbers. Enrolled testers with a Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, Pixel 7, and 7 Pro will receive CP21.260330.011.A1. All other devices will find CP21.260330.011. Google is likely working on fixing up a few issues that have cropped up during its testing before Android 17 debuts officially.
