Fortnite’s latest update has semi-resurrected Harmonix’s undeservedly short-lived DJ rhythm game

Harmonix’s Fuser was an excellent game that had a regrettably short tail. It released in late 2020, offering a flexible DJ experience that let you mash together layers from all kinds of different songs… or, y’know, just dropping Smash Mouth into everything instead.

Unfortunately, the game was delisted a mere two years later, leaving wannabe DJs/inappropriate Smash Mouth users with no outlet for their song smash shenanigans. Until now. Kinda, anyway.

How Drone Design Services Utilize 3D Printing to Successfully Build Drone Models

Natural disasters, crashed planes, sunken ships, and military invasions showcase moments when technology, like drones, steps in to capture extraordinary scenes from angles previously unimaginable. Advances in UAV technology have enabled us to record dramatic footage of these events, often providing insights and perspectives that were once out of reach.

When diving into drone design with 3D printing services, a few creative tweaks or expert insights can really take your project to the next level. That’s where Cad Crowd comes in—connecting you with a diverse network of freelance CAD designers, mechanical engineers, and additive manufacturing experts who can help bring your drone models to life.

A powerful combo of drone design and 3D printing services

Once a unique niche technology specifically used for military purposes, drones have now reached the consciousness and reach of the general public. Today, drones have become an indispensable tool in other sectors such as agriculture, photography, and even modern delivery services. Just like how drone technology changed the world, 3D printing has also revolutionized manufacturing in different industries. This breakthrough technology allows on-demand production, customization, and rapid prototyping.

The combination of drone technology and services offered by 3D design printing experts can be considered a natural progression promising to take the accessibility and capabilities of drones to soaring heights, both literally and figuratively.

3D printing makes way for the creation of lightweight complex structures that are ideal for drones and their unique aerial demands. It also allows a certain level of customization that was once unattainable. This empowers drone aficionados to tailor machines to their specific preferences and needs. Aside from this, the ability to print replacement parts on demand can significantly cut down maintenance costs and downtime. It makes flying drones more accessible and available to more audiences.

The unique synergy of drones and UAV design, as well as 3D printing technologies, is not only a significant advantage to hobbyists and fans, but it can also potentially impact different industries by allowing rapid customization and deployment of drones for various applications. The implications of this powerful combo are far-reaching and vast, from infrastructure inspections to wildlife monitoring. The following are some of the top benefits of using 3D printing for drone design services for the successful creation of drone models.

Accessibility and cost-effectiveness

The drone hobby is always costly. Its cost is traditionally high since proprietary parts and pre-assembled parts often carry hefty price tags. The 3D printing technology makes drone design more accessible for those who might have a limited budget.

Using 3D printing allows drone design services to reduce costs significantly, experiment with various designs, and even develop valuable skills in 3D printing and drone piloting alike. This level of accessibility helps nurture the ever-growing community of drone enthusiasts who are pushing the limits of what these amazing machines can do.

More possibilities for customization

One of the most notable benefits of using 3D modeling services in drone design services is the unparalleled level of customization it can offer. Professionals and enthusiasts can both design and print drones tailored to particular tasks, from specialized mounts used for photography tools to the lightweight frame of racing drones. The level of customization also extends to aesthetics, making way for distinct designs that are a perfect reflection of the preferences and personality of the pilot.

Easy replacement and repair of parts

Drones are always prone to damage and accidents, even more so when navigating tricky environments and settings. 3D printing technology can simplify the process of repair by allowing the speedy creation of replacement parts. Rather than waiting for the manufacturer to ship out the parts, drone design services can simply print new gear, propeller, or the entire frame to help reduce downtime and make sure that the drone always remains airborne.

In-house tooling

Probably one of the most significant costs involved in drone development is tooling, or the tools used for the design, development, and manufacturing of the drone components. Traditionally, the solution for this is to look for off-the-shelf tools that can do the job, whether specialized or generic. There is also the option of commissioning custom tools from fabricators.

However, both options share the same issues related to time and cost. Buying the tools requires lots of money, not to mention the time needed for their sourcing, purchase, and maintenance. 3D printing can offer a more straightforward solution in the form of in-house tooling. 3D scanners can come in handy to capture the form of an existing tool and feed this data to the CAD software to allow the in-house building of tools that require significantly less money.

Lower development costs

3D printing can lower the costs of drone development through the automation of different CAD aspects, such as producing parts quickly, reducing the use of materials, and testing. 3D printing can lower the costs of the development of drone products in many ways, such as lower prototyping costs, minimal technology training, faster cycles of product development, rapid reiteration, cut-out tooling suppliers, less material wastage, cheap low-volume production or cost per part, and automated production lines.
These benefits can lead to substantially reduced development costs, particularly when the production is scaled up across different drone models.

Material catalogue

Probably the most exciting thing about the use of 3D printing for drone design services is the wide range of materials to choose from. High-performance thermoplastics such as PC-CF, PEKK, and PEEK can be printed. The same also goes for standard thermoplastics such as ABS, PC, and PET-G, composites such as Kevlar and fiberglass, and flexible materials such as TPU. Metal components can also be 3D printed if needed.

For more complex geometries and shapes where the mechanical print head can restrict the design potential, other 3D printers can be used, such as those that can print resin with UV laser for curing individual resin layers on the print bed.

Rapid prototyping

3D printing offers a unique benefit over traditional processes of prototyping thanks to its ability to realize and explore concepts in just a matter of hours. Rapid prototyping encompasses sending the CAD drawings to the 3D printer and receiving the parts on the same or even without just a few hours. It allows quick building of assemblies with no need to wait for the suppliers and with minimal time required for setup.

In addition, instead of spending more time preparing the CNC machines and subjecting the model iterations to real-world testing, 3D printing software can simply use AI to test objects and reveal their mechanical weaknesses way before the actual production begins. Rapid prototyping experts are ideal for your company if you want functional prototypes, concepts, and the final iterations of the end-user parts to ensure maximum value during the development cycle of drone products.

Save materials and weight

Turning to 3D printing freelancers is often considered the best for manufacturing, as it helps slash material and reduces the weight of the solid components of drones. One of the best ways to save weight is to specify a stronger, lighter material like polycarbonate rather than ABS. Also, an effective way of saving materials and weight is to take away the solid material by cutting down the amount of plastic used in the part.

Changing the solid components’ infill pattern can help reduce the quantity of plastic in a drone while improving its rigidity, flexibility, and strength. Infill refers to the structure of the material within the part printed in 3D. Similar to the interconnecting steelwork found on the underside of a bridge, parts printed in 3D also have an infill that controls the physical properties of the part, such as weight, structure, and strength.

electronic design services

Software stress testing

Probably the most important of all phases of drone making is none other than stress testing. This step ensures the reliability, strength, and longevity of the different parts. The traditional means of real-world testing of parts is time-consuming, expensive, and almost unnecessary with 3D printing.

Most CAD and 3D modeling services offer a stress testing environment for the software simulation of different conditions in the real world. This simulation also identifies issues that static load testing might not reveal. Drone design services can save more money and time while also improving the designs and performance of drone parts by including virtual stress tests in the development cycle.

Faster time to market

It undoubtedly takes time to create an amazing drone, but there is simply no reason for you to let the conventional production processes, such as validation or testing, stop you from exploring further.
It is significantly faster to verify concepts, validate designs, and test functions with 3D printing compared to injection molding or CNC machining.

Rapid reiteration and rapid design prototyping services can help speed up time to market through simulation of stress tests to boost performance, test materials against one another, and validate designs starting from software up to the physical part on just the same day. You can pretty much expect 3D printing to make the entire cycle of product development faster. Switching to digital workflow from a physical product development cycle with fewer steps can make time to market faster than ever.

The official Joy-Con 2 Wheel Set includes light blue and red controller attachments that match the the color schemes of each Joy-Con. Beyond looking cool, the promotional images make it appear like the wheels have rubberized and/or textured grips. They look nicer than the regular plastic wheels that have been around since the Nintendo Wii era.

You simply slide your controllers into the center slots, and you’re ready to race with motion controls. The wheels are entirely optional, as you can play with tilt controls without any attachment, but these accessories do add a bit of realism and are comfier to hold than the tiny Joy-Cons. They are also great for local multiplayer parties and for youngsters.

If you want to save a few bucks, you can preorder a GameStop-branded Joy-Con 2 wheel set for $17. The official Nintendo Wheel Set looks much nicer, though.

It’s Almost Sold Out Everywhere, Where Can I Still Buy One?

The Nintendo Switch 2 is generating massive hype but if you haven’t preordered yet, you may want to know that stock is already very low at most retailers. Most retailers have limited allocations and not every customer is going to be guaranteed a unit at launch. Among the handful of stores still regularly stocking, Walmart is one of the sole retailers where you can still preorder and with some added perks that make it your best option.

Preorders start on April 24 at midnight Eastern Time (12:00 a.m. ET), the equivalent of 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time on April 23. The sale allows gamers nationwide to place orders from home but the demand is so robust that most retailers will sell out immediately. Walmart has a steady supply of both the standard Nintendo Switch 2 console at $449 and the Mario Kart World bundle at $499, and it guarantees the delivery on launch day (June 5).

Launch Day Delivery

The offer that truly sets Walmart apart from the other retailers is the guarantee of launch-day delivery which is June 5. Customers preordering through Walmart by 8 a.m. local time on June 4 will have their console delivered for free by 9 a.m. local time on June 5—launch day, no less. That guarantee is a valuable benefit especially when you know that many other retailers can’t promise launch-day delivery due to low inventory. If you don’t want to suffer the frustration of waiting in endless lines or indefinite shipping dates, Walmart is a great choice.

The Nintendo Switch 2 console itself is ready with everything necessary for a seamless gaming experience: The box contains the console, Joy-Con 2 controllers (left and right), Joy-Con 2 Grip, Joy-Con 2 Straps, Nintendo Switch 2 Dock, ultra high-speed HDMI cable, AC adapter, and a USB-C charging cable. This means that you can play immediately without the need to make additional accessory purchases.

As you probably know the Switch 2 is a significant upgrade from the original: It features a larger, crisper 7.9-inch 1080p display for handheld play and 4K output when docked to a TV which offers stunning visuals, and HDR support. The console also boasts improved processing capabilities for smoother gameplay and faster load times, along with improved audio for a better overall experience.

With demand through the roof and supplies limited, most retailers will sell out shortly after preorders open. Walmart is one of the few places accepting preorders but make sure you get yours before it runs out of stock (like it’s the case in the UK). If you want to reserve your place as one of the earliest to receive the Switch 2 when it’s released on June 5, your best bet is to act quickly and go with Walmart.

Blizzard is overhauling Diablo 4’s battle pass with Reliquaries

When Diablo 4’s eighth season launches on April 29, the battle pass will look completely different. Instead of a linear track, it will be split into categories, or Reliquaries, for you to chase after specific types of cosmetic tweaks for your demon slayer. Like a lot of popular live service games that have introduced more choices in their battle passes, Blizzard’s goal is to make it fit with how people actually play Diablo 4.

There were three problems with the old battle passes, senior manager of game design Dan Tanguay told Polygon in a recent interview: The rewards “didn’t feel meaningful enough,” they were “intrinsically tied to seasons,” and they had a general “lack of agency.”

In my experience, this is all true. I’d hop into a new Diablo 4 season, maybe take a peek at the battle pass page, then inevitably forget about it until I felt like clearing the notification telling me something new had unlocked. And a lot of times, the new cosmetic was for a class I wasn’t actively playing, which made me care about it even less.

That seems to be the kind of experience Blizzard is trying to avoid with Reliquaries, a reinvention of the battle pass that lets you pick the rewards you want first. There’s still a price attached. Three of the four categories have an up-front cost before you can start unlocking their rewards, like mini premium battle passes. But if all you care about is the glowing tiger from the Beasts Reliquary instead of the fancy sword from the Weapons Reliquary, you can just skip it. And players who don’t bother starting a new character every season will now have access to the system on the game’s Eternal Realm, too.

Tanguay said the team felt the old battle pass stuck out in an action RPG that’s all about satisfying decision-making. “You’re choosing basically all the choices that comprise your build, you’re choosing how you look, and we then have a battle pass that’s just highly, highly linear and very deterministic, and it’s like, ‘Wow, there’s just not a lot of choice here,’” he said.

Each Reliquary reward costs Favor, a new currency you can only earn by mowing down monsters as you play. Everyone will be able to spend it on cosmetics from the free Reliquary for the duration of the season. Event Reliquaries, like the one launching with Diablo 4’s Berserk collab in May, will show up for a limited time and require a unique currency. Tanguay couldn’t confirm whether returning events will have their own Reliquaries, but said the team is still “talking through” those opportunities.

The Reliquary system is another step in Blizzard’s ongoing approach to reworking parts of the game that have fallen behind. Tanguay added that by disconnecting battle passes from seasons, Blizzard can do more with the Season Journey, which is a free set of challenges, like killing bosses and completing dungeons, that reward loot and cosmetics. These were often so straightforward that you’d complete them accidentally. But Tanguay said the team is trying to get players to “stretch and do more aspirational type of content” to complete the later chapters. I spotted one for season 8 that asks you to defeat one of the endgame bosses using a specific seasonal power, which should be fun to figure out how to accomplish once the new season opens.

Effortless adjustments with an adaptive paste

Find yourself needing to adjust pasted code to actually work in your project? Visual Studio 2022 introduces the capability to adapt your pasted code with Copilot to reduce the time you spend on making tedious changes.

When you’re copying and pasting code, the process often comes with extra steps. Adjusting parameters, correcting styling, or fixing even the most minor errors can slow down your workflow. These small, repetitive tasks add up and disrupt your focus. Addressing these challenges, Visual Studio introduces a new Copilot-powered capability that adapts pasted code seamlessly, saving you time and effort.

This feature intelligently adapts pasted code to your solution’s context, incorporating the new code into your existing project by:

  • Aligning syntax and styling with the document
  • Inferring parameter adjustments
  • Fixing minor errors
  • Supporting language translation, human and code-based
  • Completing patterns or filling in blanks

Example: Implementing interface members

Imagine you’re working with a `Math` class that implements the `IMath` interface. You copy and paste the implementation for the `Ceiling` method into the same file. Adapting the pasted code will adjust the code to implement the missing `Floor` method, completing the interface for you.

Adaptive paste example gif

How to use it

The adaptive paste springs into action the moment you perform a regular paste using `Ctrl+V`, assuming the pasted code has at least three lines. When the “Tab to adapt” suggestion action appears, you can press the `TAB` key to request a suggestion. You’ll then see a diff that compares the original pasted code with the adjusted version, so you can preview changes before they’re applied.

Starting in Visual Studio 2022 version 17.14 Preview 3, you can try adaptive paste by turning on the option:

Plants, Trees, and Shrubs in the Bible That Starts with A – Z

When I first started these A-Z lists, I started one on Bible verses and really wanted to just challenge myself to find a verse for the letter x or y, or even z.

After doing that post, I felt excited and pumped. I was beginning to see the Bible in a new and different way. Studying it in different ways than I had before (expositorily, topical, by character name, etc.) So I created another A – Z list…Christian words.

I wanted to see how many words really had a root of them in the Bible. How many times I just said the words or glossed over them in our English language and never gave a thought to how long they’ve been around.

Then I started to get hooked. I wanted to dive deeper into the pages of Scripture and see the Bible from different angles. Things I never noticed before, patterns I never realized, lessons I never saw.

By the second or third A-Z list, I got hooked!

If you’re like me and you’ve read the Bible through several times, you’ve done character studies, you’ve studied expositorily or by topic to learn about God more, but can’t quite afford to go to seminary and learn, these lists are a great middle ground.

They give you MEAT and help you to see things from a different perspective. I love doing them. I love researching for them. I love putting them together, and I love sharing with you what I’ve learned along the way.

Today is no exception. As I’m putting on an essential oil this morning, I wanted to create an essential oils A-Z list (which is coming soon) and this led me to think about ALL the plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers that are named in the Bible.

Some of them you’ve never even heard of and so it’s fun to then go and research what type of plant or tree that is and learn more about the Bible in historical context (which is my all-time FAVORITE way to study the Bible!!!) 💎

When we can see the Bible from the writer’s point of view, from where their headspace was at the time, their topography, landscape, their culture, it puts things in a much DIFFERENT meaning sometimes than what we think about as we read a passage.

Here’s a quick example…

I’ve read through Psalm 23 so many times and in western culture, where we live, we think of belly-high alfalfa as the “grass” or “green pastures” they are referring to there in Psalm 23:2.

But if you study it out, in historical context, in that culture, they never let the grazing animals in belly-high alfalfa. That was people food, not animal food. No. The animals grazed along the rocks, in the dry mountains – that was THEIR pasture.

There’s a tuft of grass here and a tuft of grass there as the wind from the sea and the dew makes its way around the rocks. The streams were not the Garden of Eden, lush and beautiful. It was dry, barren mountainscape, with a stream here or there.

When God leads us along, He’s not leading us along this super fertile Amazon rainforest. Is your life like a fertile Amazon rainforest? I don’t know anyone in the world who doesn’t have problems. Who is led and everything is great, perfect, beautiful all the time, like paradise.

He leads us in the dry, barren wasteland we call this earth. He leads us in the midst of a culture of people who hate us and hate our God.

He’s not leading us or making us lie down in this perfect rainforest. It’s the dry, barrenness of the mountains.

It’s a picture of our lives. This earth is not SUPPOSED to be perfect. If it were, we wouldn’t look forward to Heaven. We wouldn’t need Jesus, because we wouldn’t need someone to lead us and guide us at all. “I’ve got this, Lord”, would be our response.

He leads us through the desert, like He did the Israelites. Always there for us, always taking care of us, always tenderly loving us like a shepherd cares for His flock.

Understanding what THEY understood in the Bible times, helps us to understand God more. It helps us to understand exactly what God is meaning and see things from HIS point of view, instead of our own.

In THIS way, we can know God more and so these A-Z lists for me are FUN! They’ve become for me, a great way to study my Bibles. To learn and see things from new and exciting perspectives that I never would have known, had I not of studied the Bible out in this way.

I hope that these posts encourage you, enlighten you, and that the fire inside of you that burns for Christ is lit in such a way that you want to know more about our dear Lord and Savior more as you study out the Bible in fascinating and unique ways.

The biggest thing I learned from this study is that the KJV has a lot of the specific plant types so we can learn more about EXACTLY what was there and over the decades, with newer version Bibles, the specifics are often taken out. Instead of saying the exact type of tree, for example, it’s just said that it’s a tree.

Knowing the type of tree or plant helps paint the scene more vividly in our minds.

So, join me today as I share with you all the plants, trees, and shrubs in the Bible (and I’ve even added in flowers into the mix too!)

Enjoy!!! ❤️💎😍

Plants, Trees, and Shrubs in the Bible That Starts with A – Z

Isn’t it amazing how God uses everything in His creation to teach us something? Even plants, trees, and shrubs. 🌿 They’re not just background details. God included them for a reason. From the tiny mustard seed (here’s a great craft to do with your Sunday School kids on the mustard seed) to the towering cedar tree. Each one has a story and a purpose tucked into the pages of Scripture.

I had so much fun putting this list together, it’s like a little treasure hunt through God’s Word! Some of these you’ll recognize right away (hello, fig tree 🍃), and others might surprise you (yes, stinkweed is actually in the Bible 😅).

Whether you’re doing a Bible study, teaching kids, or just love random Bible facts (guilty!), you’re going to love this A–Z list.

Be sure to check out my other A-Z lists too, for more fun! 🥳
